Super Heroes and Seminary

My younger kids were teasing me about my post on Alex and wondering where the one about their first day of school is. I think these were my favorite first day pictures.

Watch out world, the Super Ostlers are ready to take on Sandstone!! After the angst filled post about Ali's first day of HS. (Which thus far he loves) I really don't have a drama ridden story about these three. I know all of their teachers and love each one of them. They are all teachers we have had before and if I could have picked, it would be who I would have chosen. Each of them was eager to go back to school, I saw them out the door without a tear or a sigh...sorry guys. Toby is in 2nd grade, Lissie is in 5th grade and Joey is in 6th grade. They all have goals set and love school. Incidentally I was looking at these pictures and I don't think I could have picked a worse looking place in my yard for them. We actually have a very cute yard, but the sprinklers had just shut off and everything was SOAKED. I guess I should have manipulated that "spontaneous" memory and shot the first day of school the day before! loll. So far in the five days we have been back, everyone loves it. Alex started seminary this morning. GAK!!! Man 6:30 comes early! Today was a devotional with the parents. It was very cool to go with him. I am glad that I am not the one trying to think that early. I guess that there are 19 active freshman in the stake and 10 of them are from our ward. Cindy Bennion is his teacher. What a wonderful beginning to seminary. Now I need a nap. :-)

Back to school, back to having days all to yourself! Have fun with it! So nice to hear they enjoy school and their teachers. Good luck with the whole seminary thing...hope Alex will do better than any of us did!

I forgot about seminary. I took the kids many, many mornings until they could drive and I just read scriptures while thy were in class. I learned as much as they did those years. Good start for them all that they have good teachers.

I don't know what my Mom is talking about, we almost never went to seminary. BTW all you have to do to avoid those early mornings is move to Utah, seminary is included in regular school hours here, just a thought!
